Lord of the jungle: Luigi's garden blog

"Move your fat butt, Mario, this tree ain't big enough for the both of us"

"Hey, there's next door's Jack Russells. Up here, guys!" [Explosion of frenzied barking] "Hehehehe!"

"Looking good my man."

"If I do my cute look, do you think she'll give me extra food?"

"OK, time to get down."

"Wait, is it really that far?"

"OK, just take it easy. One paw at a time"

"Phew, that's better. I can see the ground now."

My, but aren't they the bold, grown-up toms? :)

petoskystone: Well, Luigi is bold, but Mario is a bit of a wimp. He'll follow (eventually) if Luigi goes first. But they are so funny with the dogs next door - they drive them crazy. There's a tiny gap in the fence at ground level and on the other side you can see two dogs' noses. The cats sit right the other side, so the dogs can see them and smell them but they can't get at them. You'd think the cats would be scared.
The woman who bred the cats had something like six Jack Russells, so maybe they think next door's dogs are long-lost friends. But they can't possibly remember that far back.

Aren't you glad you didn't have to climb to the rescue! Or is it 'every cat for themselves.'

Funny how cats often seem to have a "trailblazer" and one who follows, it was the same with ours. And they must he having fun teasing next door's dogs. They really have grown up to be very lovely cats.

Gorgeous - want want want. Nothing like watching kittens explore their environment and the sheer pleasure and wonder they seem to get from simple things - something to remember next time I feel glum, although I am not sure climbing a tree would be a good plan in my case!

They really have grown into handsome boys.

Thinking it's a Cat Thing to tease a dog. The feral cats have Charlsie all figured out...they know he can't get our from the fenced yard. So when he starts in barking, they casually walk on by...drives him nuts! One of my (always inside) cats loves to tease soninlaws boxer mix. She rubs up against his crate or sleeps right next to it. I can practically hear her singing 'You're not allowed to touch meeee'.

Oh aren't they growing up well! Our two often sit by the fence when Tilly, next door's labradoodle's in their garden. Let the mayhem begin!

Great phologue of Luigi's mini adventure! Which reminded my of when our Twinkles climbed up our Yew Tree with Knickers following her.

Gardens and Cats go hand in hand (or should I say Paws?).

This reminds me of a post I did some time ago now of my gorgeous cat Jess up her favourite tree. I have a photo of her looking just like a panther! We lost her to an accident in November and I miss her terribly. Your Luigi is a very handsome boy.

Very cute and brave!

Thanks for the Crewes hill invite but we have plans this time, but in the future yes please! I may need a truck though to bring home booty. happy hunting

Awww, the cats are quite funny there. I was never really a cat person but the way I look at caats, they are pretty sinister, clever, but sinister looking. I mean they stare at you like they’re demanding something. Dogs are smart as well but they are also good at being dumb. Anyway, nice pictures and nice blog!

I haven't been here for ages - they look super! Funny how animals in a garden add an element you didn't know was missing before.

It seems you have monkey like creatures in your garden.
